Ted is the co-founder of Zash Global Media and Entertainment, an evolved network of synergetic companies working together to disrupt the media and entertainment industry. As a 360° marketing ecosystem fueled by rich data and industry expertise, Zash uses breakthrough models and modern technology to create and distribute personalized content for a wide variety of target audiences. Zash recently made headlines by acquiring a majority-stake in Lomotif, TikTok’s chief competitor in Asia with over 350 million user-created videos per month, with plans to expand the platform into the U.S. and worldwide.
Beginning with his company MoviePass Films, Ted has served as an executive producer for films such as 10 Minutes Gone starring Bruce Willis, Gotti starring John Travolta, and many more. He is currently working on producing three feature films about World War II and the Holocaust through his company Fortress Entertainment Group in partnership with Damascus Road Productions. Zash Studio, a subsidiary of Zash Global, produced the 2021 Oscar-nominated documentary Chicago: America’s Hidden War.
Ted’s creation of the groundbreaking theater subscription model behind MoviePass has forever changed the movie industry and is often imitated. After Ted’s company Helios and Matheson Analytics acquired MoviePass in 2017, he saw its potential and applied his unique model to the platform. MoviePass quickly became the fastest growing subscription service in history, jumping by one million subscriptions in the first three months under Ted’s leadership.
In 2017, Ted became CEO of Helios and Matheson Analytics after it acquired his company Zone Technologies, the creator of the RedZone Map crime and navigation app. Helios and Matheson would go on to be the parent company of MoviePass and MoviePass Films.
